I came across this video by complete accident tonight while browsing the web and it shows Rodney Mullen performing some of the most insane skateboarding tricks that I’ve ever seen. His dexterity with a skateboard must be unmatched, it is positively incredible.

Angry Boys
On Wednesday 11th May 2011, the ABC are going to unleash a 12 part mockumentary comedy series by Chris Lilley named Angry Boys. For those unaware, Chris Lilley first hit the scene on Big Bite in 2003 and later made mockumentaries of We Can Be Heroes and Summer Heights High. Angry Boys continues some of the characters from his previous work and pokes a whole lot of fun of what it is like being a teenager growing up in the 21st century. It is rated M and is going to be reasonably inappropriate in places but it is going to be really funny, Kath & Kim funny.

Super High Frame Rate Video From A Las Vegas Hotel Room
Tom Guilmette was in Las Vegas for work & had access to a Phantom Flex, which is a super high frame rate video camera.
If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, it’s the same sort of technology that provides the super slow motion footage of a tennis player striking a ball from the Australian Open tennis championship or similar.
However, the Phantom Flex isn’t just any run of the mill high frame rate camera, with enough light it can shoot at over 2,500 frames per second in 1080p! If you can ‘tolerate’ a less than full high definition picture – you can capture a speeding bullet at 10,000 frames per second – wow.
That sort of video camera isn’t the sort of thing that videographers ‘just have access to’ like a normal high megapixel digital camera. So while Tom had access to the beast, he thought he should make the most of it and shot a whole raft of cool footage from within his hotel room in Las Vegas Nevada.
Opera Fast, Potato Slow
I recently wrote about the Google Chrome browser and how amazingly fast it is to use, which included a video produced by Google highlighting that fact with elaborate high speed video camera work. Opera, another popular browser who have always had a great product and prided themselves on speed have just responded, with tongue firmly planted in their cheeks:
