Not long after Hotdogs was evicted from the Big Brother house, he signed a deal with Network Ten for his own show. The show, “The Uplate Game Show” would take the place of “Big Brother Uplate” that was hosted by Mike Goldman.
While Big Brother was running, Uplate with Mike Goldman worked. He would talk about the day that just passed, show snippets of what happened during the day and live feeds from the house. While that was going on, there were also little brain teaser type games being played – an anagram game for instance.
This however, is in stark contrast to The Uplate Game Show. One of the primary reasons it worked with Mike Goldman, was the audience were watching to find out about the craze that is Big Brother. Unfortunately for Hotdogs, he doesn’t have any of that – which leaves him with pointless games and his lack luster hosting ability.
The last couple of times I’ve seen it before going to bed, he is calling people that have registered on his list. Problem is, the show is that boring that once they register they don’t watch it again. Last night again, he called three people who were in bed, the call went something like this (my emphasis and paraphrasing):
Hotdogs: HI!!!!, this is Hotdogs from the Uplate Game show!!!11one
Them: umm, heelllloo.. who is it again..?
Hotdogs: Its Hotdogs!!!!11one, did you register on the Uplate Game Show list????
Them: umm, sorry.. you’ll have to speak a little slower
Hotdogs: The Uplate Game Show, did you register???
Them: umm, no I didn’t.. maybe it was my daughter but she has been in bed for 3 hours already
Hotdogs: well I guess I don’t get to give away a prize tonight then
Them: nope, sorry.
If that isn’t bad enough, imagine the worst TV host you can. Now imagine them on TV for an hour and a half a night, with absolutely no content to discuss at all. It isn’t an entertainment show, he doesn’t discuss any current events at all – its just him, his Uplate list (that no one is awake for), the crap games and him babbling for the whole thing repeating himself over and over.
I can’t believe that the show is on TV, it is appalling.

No, it’s taken off forever, unless they ask Hotdogs to come back.
HD was talking about how he’s not coming back unless everyone writes to channel 10.
And I’m pretty sure being inundated with letters like “OMFGZ LET HOTDGOZ CUM BAK MOMG I MIS HIM” isn’t going to make channel 10 rush to put him back.
I am pretty sure the show is just off air while BB is on…. And Hotdogs did so not get fired on air the other night ya loser…. what show were you watching???

My two girlfriends and I hung out with hotdogs and his mates last night. We LOVE you hotdogs we think your the HOTTEST BABE ever.
WTF his gameshow is over, it was over like 2 months ago why the fuck are people still talking about it? Anyway on to the more important stuff like what can we put inplace of BB uplate, cause it is always so boring; if anyone has connections at channel TEN please let me know cause i would like to suggest something better. I also think that we should get BB canceled they have been milking it for years now and im just over it. A lot of my friends would agree – by alot i mean all of them – anything would be better then the 7pm show even old sienfeld repeats, i would love to see some of those again.

As of the past few days, I have been watching this show and have actually been enjoying it to an extent. I never watched the show until a few nights ago, so I don’t know how much quality it has held in the past. However, judging from what I have seen over the past few nights, I really don’t understand why most people here think it is such an awful show. I actually think it is a very appropriate show to put in the timeslot it resides in. I do agree that the hosts have a tendency to repeat themselves consistently but that is what they have been paid to do. This show is far from the worst on TV-it doesn’t even come close. Simon is ok but I actually think Rob, who I have worked out by these previous posts is new to the show, is better. He is much more entertaining and likable than Simon. I have watched Big Brother very few times and as a result am surprised that I have been so entertained by a show that uses two former contestants as hosts. Both of them can be a little, if not very cheesy at times but I suppose that sort of thing is hard to avoid when you have very little to discuss and host a show thats main purpose is to serve as a game that gives the general populace the opportunity to win large amounts of cash.

The Up-late gameshow is awesome. Its a million time better than Midnight Zoo or Quizmania. Hotdogs, Chrissie and Rob are the coolest!

Hotdog talks, act and interact like a stupid. No substance or fake substance. His jokes and personal stories are as interesting as his 80’s mohican hair cut.
He does not allow other co-presenters to have their space and constantly shout over them in order to fulfill his miserable egocentric personality. He thinks to be the coolest and first of the rank of all presenters in the show where he is just the most annoying.
People that call and spend 55c to participate in this stupid game with stupid questions fall in the shouting fruit market seller’s trap and are as stupid / sad as those people that waste money in Pokey Machines.
Most of the questions are so stupid that even a 5 years old child could answer. The more stupid the questions are the more stupid people call to earn a couple of hundred dollars.
